| DB seeks status report for procurement of equipment | | Setting up of eye bank | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 28: In a Public Interest Litigation seeking establishment of eye-bank, a Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Sindhu Sharma after hearing Adv Navneet Dubey for the PIL, directed Managing Director of the Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supply Corporation to file status report regarding the procurement of the equipment requisitioned for the purposes of operationalizing the Eye Bank within four weeks.
When the PIL came-up for hearing, Division Bench observed that Sr. AAG submitted that the status report stands filed placing on record various steps taken to ensure purchase of equipment for operationalizing of Eye Bank in the Government Medical College, Jammu. Unfortunately this status report is not on record. Registry shall ensure that the status report is brought on record.
DB also directed Managing Director of the Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supply Corpora-tion to ensure that the needful is done expeditiously and without any delay. |
