On 14th of March this year, exactly four days after the Model Code of Conduct came into force in the entire country, Assistant Director (P&S), Department of Tribal affairs, wrote a letter to Director Tribal Affairs Jammu and asked him to submit Detailed Project Reports for establishing model villages. "Kindly refer to the subject cite above, I am directed to enclose herewith a copy of representation received from the inhabitants of Gujjar Patti area of district Anantnag regarding the up-gradation of Village Hingipora, Ringmundoo, Gamdouru Hargows, Gujjat Patti area into cluster tribal model village under SCA to TSS with the request to kindly examine the demand and submit a Detailed Project Report to this department for proceeding further in the matter accordingly," reads the letter, a copy of which lies with Early Times.
