| Sports event organized to create election awareness | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 3: During the second of the General Election Awareness campaign 2019, sports event marked the beginning of the program, 16 Badminton matches were organized in single, double category of boys and girls at Shiksha Niketan Hr. Sec. School, Jeevan Nagar, Jammu. Matches were played on knockout basis. Earlier, Narinder Singh President J&K Rural Sports club was introduced with participants by Chairman Rameshwar Mengi of R.M.P.S and Shiksha Niketan group of institutions on the inaugural ceremony of the Badminton events. While matching the students/ participants they informed them that they are acting as ' Ambassador's for spreading the message foe mass participation in the coming festival of the democracy as " I am communicated to cast vote" In Girls ( Single category) Ishika (SNHS) Jeevan Nagar defeated Divya Bhat(R.M.P.S) Chowadi in final. The score was 15-9. In Boys ( Single category) :- Ayush Thakur (SNHSS) Gandhi nagar defeated Akshit (R.M.P.S) Chowadi. The score was 15-13. Girls Double :- Kavleen - Anshita ( pair) (SNHSS) Jeevan Nagar defeated Tanvi - Shweta (pair) (R.M.P.S.) Chowadi. The score was 15-10. Boys Double Aman - Nikhil (pair) (R.M.P.S) chowadi defeated Karan veer - Rutish (pair) (SNHSS) Jeevan Nagar. The score was 15-13. The campaign is being organized by J&K Rural sports club is collaboration with R.M.Public School Chowadi / Shiksha Niketan Hr. Sec. School, Jeevan Nagar as part of Nation Building Awareness campaign. |
