Early Times Report Udhampur, Apr 4: Senior Congress leader and party's Lok Sabha candidate Vikramaditya Singh on Wednesday said that poor condition of villages in Udhampur constituency is an ample proof of the fact that BJP didn't do anything for people during the past five years. Addressing a series of public meetings Singh said that BJP stands exposed on various counts including Achhe Din, Swachh Bharat, Kala Dhan, farmers' issues, etc. "It is now taking refuge by diverting people's attention towards Chowkidar campaign, and similar other meaningless campaigns so that real issues do not haunt the party in the Lok Sabha polls," he said. Singh said, "Inclusive approach, justice to all and all-round development will be his top priorities besides up liftment of underprivileged, the lot which he said has seen the worst ever phase of difficult times in the last over five years when the BJP was in power both at State and in the Centre." Referring to Saddal, Kalota-Malhotri, Sangwali and other villages adopted by the sitting MP and BJP candidate from the constituency, Dr Jitendra Singh, Vikramaditya said, "If the BJP leadership could not develop these four-five villages in five years with full backing of all central and state resources then one can well judge that it will take several centuries to develop India." Among others who were present include Fakir Nath, Ashok Gupta, Latif, Majid Hussain, Mohammad Iqbal, Haji Farid, Anwar, H.R Khajuria, Vikrant Sharma from NC, Anwar Khatana, Om Prakash, Tanvir, Gulzar Ahmed, Raiz, Nizam-ud-Din, Akhtar Ali, Ghulam Roomani from NC and many others. |
