ABVP to start Rath Yatra for 100% voting

Jammu, Apr 3: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu Kashmir today held a press conference at Vidyarthi Bhawan (State Office) regarding the Voter Awareness Campaign and various initiatives taken by ABVP to aware voters in view of upcoming Parliamentary elections. Addresing the media State Secretary ABVP Jammu Kashmir Deepak Gupta said that ABVP has launched Voter Awareness Campaign in whole State with an aim of 100 percent voting in nation interest.
He said that ABVP has also organized various seminars in different campuses of Jammu Kashmir on Strong Democracy Empowered Bharat, Aspirations of Emerging Bharat topics and has also made awareness by distributing Pamphlets and pasting stickers in campuses. He said that ABVP JK State Team has decided to launch Rath Yatra throughout the state for all the parliamentary seats with the Slogan of "Nation First Voting Must".
This Rath Yatra will be held in two phases in first phase Yatra will be held at Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Seat and in second phase at Udhampur-Doda-Kathua Parliamentary Seat. The first Phase of Yatra will start on 4th April from Samba Chowk and after passing through all assembly constituencies it will conclude at Poonch on 9th April. Similarly in second phase Rath Yatra will start from Kathua and will conclude at Kishtwar. He further said that for strengthening the democratic set up of this country voting to elect is very important and so the people on the voting days must not celebrate it as holidays but should come out out from their comfort zones and vote in Nation's Interest. He said it should be our target to bypass the previous elections voter percentage so that the festival of democracy reaches till the grass root.
