JAMMU, Apr 11: During first phase of General Elections in Jammu, the enthusiasm among voters, amidst security arrangement, was unprecedented. CRPF is significantly deployed in coordination with J&K Police in the polling process, especially deployment at polling booths. On the one hand, the alertness of CRPF troops reflected proper security arrangement; on the other hand, troops of CRPF female contingent extended helping hands to women, especially elder women.
At Girls High School Gandhi Nagar, an elderly woman expressed her feelings towards CRPF like this, "After Pulwama attack, I was very uneasy. I feel very unhappy when something untoward happens to you. May you be always happy." Pertinent to mention that CRPF is performing internal security duties across the country in very professional manner, at the same time its public friendly image is also evident. |
