15 candidates file nomination in JKHCBAJ Election

Jammu, April -12-2019-(JNF):- The J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu which is scheduled to be held on April 27, 2019, 15 candidates filed nominations for different posts.

According to the Returning Officer Sr. Adv BS Salathia that for the posts of President, Four candidates namely Adv AK Sawheny, Adv Vikram Sharma, Adv Abhinav Sharma and Adv Shakti Gupta filed the nominations.

For the post of Vice President, three candidates namely Adv Monish Chopra, Adv Rohit Bhagat and Adv R.S. Durswal filed nominations whereas for the post of General Secretary only two candidates namely Adv Abhishek Wazir and Anil Khajurai filed nomination.

For the post of Joint Secreatry four candidates namely Advocates Snigdha Shekhar, Bhavishya Sudan, Varun Kotwal and Pardeep Majotra filed nominations.

For the post Treasurer three candidates namely Advocates Sahil Bavoria, Nikash Sharma and Sushant Samnotra filed nomination.

While receiving the nomination papers, he requested all the contesting candidates to refrain from displaying or pasting any kind of Posters or indulge in Wall writing or any sort of property defacement in the Court premises. He further requested to all the candidates that this is a family Election and being a member of the family it is not in good taste to indulge in passing any derogatory / personal remarks against each other and being a member of an Elite Class, it is obligatory upon every body to maintain the decency and respectfulness towards each other. Mr. Slathia has also informed to all the candidates that the worthy members of the Election Commission of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu have unanimously decided to not to campaign in favour or against any candidate in the election fray.
