Can any politician muster courage to take 'bull by its horns'? | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 14: Can any politician muster courage to come forward and call spade a spade and take "bull by its horns?" The Director General of Police Dilbag Singh had a "proven track record" before being elevated as the police chief of Jammu and Kashmir, he hogged headlines on many occasions for wrong reasons. He was indicted in Anantnag recruitment scam by his own department. The DGP Singh running alleged illegal transport business during his hey days and his alleged involvement in land grabbing case are "open secrets." Despite his track record being "controversial" the DGP Singh was elevated to the top post in country's most sensitive state. Politicians, who are busy seeking votes these days on the name of wiping out corruption from the system, have reportedly played a pivotal role in Singh's elevation. Would someone among the politicians show the guts and register a formal complaint with Election Commission of India about the blatant misuse of power by the DGP Singh and about how he was given the top post? BJP leaders cannot talk as they are the ones who got the DGP Dilbag Singh appointed. They are the same people, who miss no opportunity to claim that they are true representatives of Jammu people. But the ground realities contradict their claims. |
