| Chairman KMC conducts extensive tour in Ward No. 2 | | |

Kathua, Apr 26: During his tour, Chairman of KMC Naresh Sharma met a public delegation of the area comprising residents of the ward Rtd. Capt Dev Raj, Joginder Paul, Sanjay Sharma, Kamla Devi, Sudesh Devi, Manoj Gupta, Sanjeev Verma, Surinder Kumar who brought into his notice that certain existing covered nullhahs are blocked which are making air pollution with intolerable foul smell around the locality and the issues of non functional state of street lights. KMC Chairman Sharma heard the people patiently and assured some issues like making functioning of all street lights within few hours. Even the Sharma gave immediate directions to his concerned staff for speedy disposal of noticed public grievances. The Engineering wing of the KMC was also directed by the Chairman Sharma to submit a proposal for cleaning and to remove the blockage of deep covered drain in the said area to make the area pollution free. During his visit Sharma also directed concerned sanitation officer to conduct an extensive sanitation drive and clear of all the garbage at site followed by spraying of sanitarian in the entire location. While speaking to media, residents of ward no. 02 thanked the chairman Naresh Sharma for taking immediate and stern action to address the raised issues regarding drainage network and street lights. |
