| KVK organizes field day for farm women | | |

Doda, Apr 26: Krishi Vigyan Kendra Doda today conducted field day on mustard crop at village Neota under the guidance of Directorate of extension, SKUAST Jammu in which farm women covered under Front Line Demonstrations on mustard participated. This cluster of was exclusively laid out for farm women and with the objective to encourage them keeping in view their contribution in agricultural sector and to popularize the performance of technological interventions on mustard crop promoted through Front Line Demonstrations laid during Rabi 2018-19. Dr AS Charak, Dr Narinder Paul and Dr GN Jha, scientists form the KVK Doda organized the programme. The field day was held in the field of Darshna Devi of the village who apprised the participants about the technologies adopted under Front Line Demonstrations laid out at her field under the guidance of team of scientists from KVK Doda. She shared her experiences associated with the cultivation of mustard, crop management and aphid management. Scientist from KVK Doda lauded the efforts of women of the village for their participation in the FLD activities and urged upon to adopt scientific cultivation of mustard using appropriate seed rate, varieties, management practices and insect pest and disease management. |
