| Security forces launch anti-militancy operation in Hizb commander Riyaz Naikoo's village | | |

Srinagar, Apr 26: Security forces on Friday evening launched a cordon and search operation at Hizb ul Mujahideen commander Riyaz Naikoo's native village in Awantipora township of south Kashmir's Pulwama district. Local and police sources said the forces launched the operation in Beighpora village following inputs about the presence of militants. They said that the forces launched house-to-house searches and large numbers of security forces were involved in the operation. Jammu & Kashmir police, Army's Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have jointly launched the operation, said an official. |
