| Woman dies due to medical negligence, family protests, blocks road | | |

JAMMU, Apr 26: A lady died in Hospital due to allegedly negligence of doctors and family members staged protest demonstrations against the doctors by lying body on road and demanded strict action against the doctors.
The incident had triggered tension among the patients undergoing treatment in the hospital. The family members of the victim staged a protest demonstration and brought the charges of serious negligence against the hospital authorities and demanded a high-level inquiry into the incident.
Family alleged that as per doctors the baby died in mother's womb when they visited hospital for check up and after that the patient was admitted in the SMGS hospital keeping critical condition of the patient. But doctors didn't not do surgery timely and every passing day the condition of the patient was deteriorating but no such step was taken to remove died baby from mother's womb for three days.
They told that very next day patient was shifted to Operation Theater of the hospital and took more than 4 hours to do surgery. After surgery the patient went to unconscious condition and shifted ICU ward resulting she died.
They asked why the doctors took so many days to do anything despite knowing the child died in womb and said it completely case of great negligence and action should be taken in this regard. Protesting family demanded high level inquiry so truth will come out. |
