| MVI School organizes awareness programme on child abuse | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 26: MV International School organized awareness session on child abuse with special emphasis on POSCO Act. Sub Judge Swati Gupta, Secretary of District Legal Services Authority, Samba presented this session with examples, activities and interaction with the students.
She was accompanied with members of juvenile justice board and child welfare committee. She conducted a detailed session on the protection of children from sexual violence & child abuse. The session was highly interactive with PowerPoint presentation and activities. She impressed upon the students to imbibe positive values and be on the side of law. She also advised the children to raise their voice firmly, whenever there is any incident of abuse or violation of their rights. She also emphasized on social media awareness for children and focused on the increased level of online engagement which also increases the risk of cyber bullying and social trolling. Special mention was made on the role of parents and educational institution in influencing social media behavior. Students of class 9th& 11th along with their respective teachers were also present during the session. Gourav Abrol, Director MV International School & Principal K.L Dogra were also present in the session and thanked them for such a wonderful session. |
