Jammu remains over all champion of15th J&K state wushu c'ship

Jammu, Apr 26: On the concluding Day of the 03 Days 15 J&K State Wushu championship. Jammu remained the overall championship whereas Srinagar and Samba remained Runner up and 2nd Runners up in the championship. 800 players from 18 districts and 02 departmental team participated in the championship. Players from far flung areas like Bandipora, Baramulla,Kupwara, Pulwama showed their best performance in the championship.
Israr Khan Retd DIG was the chief guest on the occasion, he distributed the medals to the medal winners during the presentation ceremony.,Dr Dawood Iqbal Baba, director Physcial Education Jammu University was the special guest on the occasion.
Israr Khan congratulated the office bearers of the Wushu Association of J&K for the outstanding work for the promotion of this combat sports across the state, he congratulated Kuldeep Handoo (National Chief coach of india) and Surya Bhanu partap singh for the excellent performance in the 18th Asian Games. He also congratulated Rajinder Singh for getting the medal in the World cup. Deepak Handa (Vice President) presented the welcome speech on the occasion and thanked the Guests for sparing their valuable time on the occasion of the valedictory function. The president of the Wushu Association of J&K Vijay Saraf, Thanked the Partiipants and the guests for making the event a grand success. He also thanked Secretary for the support and hope that the state academy for Wushu come into force soon for the better results in the coming international events.He also extended thanks to the Director Physical education Jammu university for organizing the event in collaboration with Wushu Association of J&K. He thanked Media personals (Electronic and Print) for the wide publicity of the event.
The guests present during the function were Deepak Handa, Sunil Sharma, Gautam Sharma Bhavneet ,Kuldeep Handoo, Ajay Paul Gill, Maqsood Rather, Jabeena Akhter, Mudasir, Yash Pal, Chran Singh, Junaid, Rajinder Singh and Surya Bhanu Partap Singh, Abhishek Singh Jamwal, Jai Bharat The General Secretary Ms Bhavneet Presented vote of thanks at the conclusion.
