JAMMU, May 4: Sprawling Buds ICSE School, Bantalab, Jammu dominated the 19th edition of Jammu District Sport Climbing Competition by winning 9 medals including 3 Gold, 3 Silver and 3 Bronze medals in the two-day long competition which concluded today. While the budding climbers of the school swept all the medals in the Sub Junior Girls category, they also won a gold each in Sub Junior Boys and Junior Girls categories. However, in the Mini Girls category climbers of St. Xavier Convent Sr. Sec. School led by Tanisha Rakwal swept all the medals to emerge as a force to reckon with in the new crop of climbers. However, the titles in four other categories were shared by four different institutions. Whereas Kashish of Shining Star High School, Muthi won in the Mini Boys category, Rahul Sharma of SOS Hermann Gmeiner School and Shuvam Mehara of Govt. Model Hr. Sec. School, Domana were the winners in Junior Boys and Men's categories respectively. Competitions in Men and Women categories were not conducted for lack of adequate participation. In the valedictory function Ashwani Sharma, former MLA was the Chief Guest who along with Rahul Sharma, Chairman of Sprawling Buds ICSE School and Arti Sharma, Principal of Apple Kids School, Bantalab gave away medals to the winners of the various categories. |
