Jammu, May 6: The district level inter zonal competition in the age group of U-14/17 in Boys section was inaugurated in the Zorawar Singh Sports Complex Reasi in the discipline of Volleyball , Kabaddi, Kho-Kho.
In the competition around 400 players of all Zones of Reasi were participated. Nirmal K Choudhary, Chief Education Officer, Reasi was the chief guest on the occasion and dceclared the tournament open in a simple and well attended function. Speaking on the occasion, Choudhary said sports develop overall personality of the student and inculcate the qualities of leadership, sharing, team spirit and tolerance. Sports education not only teaches the students to maintain the physical stamina but also the habit of obedience, discipline, the determination to win.
Earlier, Romesh Chander Mishra, District Youth Services & Sports Reasi welcomed the chief guest and presented the momento. The tournament is being organised as a part of annual sports calender by District Youth Services and sports Officer Reasi under the overall supervision of Dr Saleem ur Rehman, Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K.
Later Smt Chiter Lekhka, ZPEO Reasi, presented the vote of thanks.
