Early Times Report Jammu, May 6: A ten-day annual training camp organized by 1 J&K Arty Bty NCC, Poonch is being conducted in the premises of NCC Camping Ground, Nagrota with effect from 03 MAY to 12 May 2019. Approximately 400 NCC Cadets from far flung areas of Rajouri and twin border area of Poonch District are actively participating in the camp apart from other sectors like Sundebrani, Kotranka, Thanamandi, Langer, Bajabain Mendhar etc. The camp kick started with the opening address by Lt Col Amitabh Verma, Commanding Officer 1J&K Arty Btry NCC Poonch, who gave a rousing speech motivating cadets to involve themselves fully during the camp and to learn what they may not have from civil life. He also inspired the cadets to have as much fun as possible while monitoring the decorum and dignity of camp. Cadets are undergoing Physical Activities, Drill, Handling of weapons, personality development, disaster management training among a lot of other specialised classes. However, this is first time that a talent hunt has been organized during the camp where cadets are being given a chance to showcase their creative talent in the fields of music, dance, skit and painting. The winning entries will get an opportunity to showcase this talent at Thal Sena camp and Republic Day Camp apart from winning a cash price. |
