| Police seize 43 bottles of country made liquor, arrested bootlegger | | |
Kathua, May 20: Acting sternly against liquor menace, Police team of police post-Chadwal seized 43 bottles of country liquor 180 ml each and arrested one bootlegger.
Police team of PP Chadwal during checking duty at Chadwal intercepted one load carrier bearing registration number JK08E-6612 and seized 43 bottles 180 ml each of JK Special whiskey in illegal possession of driver namely Prem Nath son of Gori Shanker resident of Haripur Patil Chadwal. Police arrested the accused and registered a case FIR no 96/2019 u/s 48(e) Excise Act against the accused and the investigation was taken up.
Kathua Police are striving hard to contain drug and liquor menace and appealed people of the area to come forward and share information about any such illegal activities with Police. |
