| Primary School students protest over water shortage | | |  Early Times Report
Mendhar, May 20: Students of Government primary School Police post Balakote in Zone Balakote of Mendhar area in Poonch district today staged a demonstration against the lack of basic facilities in the school premises.
The students, while holding plates in their hands, raised slogans for providing drinking water in the school premises. "We have been living in a miserable condition due to lack of basic facilities at the school. For the past many years, there has been no supply of drinking water in the school," said a student.
The teachers of school said that they had already registered complaint with PHE Department but still no action has been taken.
Three-year back, PHE installed a special water pipe line for the school, but supply is given once a month ", one of the teachers said. The students said that they bring water with themselves from home but due to soaring heat their water consumption is more and they have to remain thirsty for whole day. |
