Situation in Kashmir remains same during Governors rule
5/20/2019 10:55:02 PM
Even during the Governor's rule the situation in the Kashmir valley continues to be unaltered in the sense that civilians throng the encounter sites and this is what has happened the other day in Pulwama and Shopian where six militants, one civilian and one soldier were killed. The encounter took place at two sites and both the sites were seen several thousand people trying to divert the attention of the security forces. And what seems to be unchanged is the perception of people who treat killed militants as innocent civilians. And the separatists have given a call for Friday to resume their protest rallies after the Friday prayers. Another situation that has remained unchanged is the ferocious role of the Jaish-e-Mohammad, whose activists staged a Fidayeen attack on the CRPF convoy in Pulwama in which 40 personnel were martyred.
Since then the military operations have been intensified and since February 14 when the attack took place and most of them belonging to JeM. This means that JeM has surpassed LeT and Hizbul Mujahideen as far as their strategy is concerned and their man power is concerned. This Indicates that JeM has grown in strength and the reason behind this is the backing of Pakistan Army. After Masood Azhar, chief of JeM was treated as a global terrorist the Pak Army have given thrust to the training of the JeM activists and during their ceasefire violations the Pak Army push the JeM groups into Kashmir. This is the story behind the mushroom growth of the cadre of JeM and the JeM activists have been suggested to carved out their hideouts in south Kashmir. This is another factor for the rise of JeM power in south Kashmir.
And the separatists have asked people to organise protest rallies against the killing innocent civilians. Which means that those six militants killed in the two encounters are for separatists innocent civilians. If they are civilians where from they have acquired guns and bombs? This is clear indication that more of JeM activists are being patronised by the Pak Army irrespective of the stand of the Government in Islamabad headed by Imran Khan. Those who crowed the encounter sites resort to pelting of stones of security forces and at time the security forces are forced to open pellet firing and teargassing in which some civilians do get injured and there is a loud cry.
