| PAF criticises PHE for supplying unhygienic drinking water | | |

Kishtwar, May 27 : Shakir Siddiqui, President Public Awareness Front (PAF ) Kishtwar has strongly criticised the hydraulic division Kishtwar for supplying unhygienic drinking water to residents of Kishtwar and adjoining villages as a result of which various kind of deceases have developed among the people added that the department has though installed Laboratory for conducting testing of water, but same fail in the given job as till date no action has been taken to improve the hygienic condition of the drinking water supplied to inhabitants of Kishtwar.
He said not a single day passes when a large number of people get admitted in hospitals due to use of unhygienic drinking water.
He said that the filter plant is not functioning since decades which should be enquired through a high level team.
Saddiqui further added that scheme of Naigad was ray of hope for the masses and are hoping for it's completion, but since 1947 all governments make false promises to overcome the scarcity of water in Kishtwar despite spending Crores of rupees. He appeals the Governor administration to look in the matter on priority. |
