KPS felicitates meritorious students

Jammu, May 28: A gala function was organized by Kashmiri Pandit Sabha( KPS) to felicitate the meritorious students of Class 12th (2018-19) of the community today. The function was presided by Kashmiri Pandit Sabha President K. K. Khosa and Prof. Manoj Kumar Dhar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu as Chief Guest and Dr. Meenakshi Kilam as Guest of Honour.
The function started with a welcome address by Kashmiri Pandit Sabha General Secretary S. L. Bagati. While welcoming the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour, he said that the community will be benefitted by the presence of Prof. Dhar as he is well versed with the various problems being faced by the community in the educational field. K. K. Khosa lauded the Hardwork done by meritorious students of the community especially from camp Schools and wished them all the best.
Khosa also exhorted the meritorious students to choose future course of studies in varied streams like finance, climate, administration, etc. Detailing out the contribution of the Sabha in preservation of Culture and Identity of the community
Prof. Manoj Kumar Dhar gave a brief about Kashmir Scenario and struggle of the displaced community to stand with honor and dignity in adverse circumstances.
Prof. Dhar lauded the efforts and services of Kashmiri Pandit Sabha in the service of the Community for last several decades. He praised particularly the efforts of Kashmiri Pandit Sabha for its contribution in Education field by way of holding such programmes, and providing scholarships to weaker sections.
Meritorious students namely Urshila Bhat, Mehul Pandita, Priyanshu, Roopanshi Bhat, Manushi Dhar, Shivika Bhat, Payal Koul, Loukik Raina, Sonal Raina, Rohini Koul, Kalpesh Bhat, Angella Handu, Nikhil Kohli, Retika Bhat, Predikta Hundu, Simran Bhat, Parth Bhat, Anmol Pandita, Vriti Tickoo, Navneet Khar, Aayush Bhat, Akhil Raina, Satya N Bhat, Anmol Bindroo, Arsh Raina, Avi Kaul, Ridham, Palak Raina, Aayush Bhat, Dipinder Deep Bhat were given cash prize, trophies and certificates.
The President and Guests wished that students will continue to attain higher levels of excellence in their carrier. Ashok Braroo, Sr. Vice-President presented vote of thanks.
Among notable guests graced the occasion were Dr. R. K. Ganjoo (Director, CDC, University of Jammu), T. N. Bhat, V. K. Bakshi, G. J. Kampassi, B. L. Tiku, Ashok Kher, Subash Dhar, Jitender Parimoo, J. L. Zutshi , B. L. Rawal, Vinod Bhat, H. L. Koul and Others.
