Soz appeal PM to respond positively to Pakistan | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 28: Senior Congress leader Saif-ud-din Soz today said that Imran Khan has shown his culture for an abiding friendship with India and Prime Minister Narender Modi must respond positively. "It is pleasantly heartening to imagine that Imran Khan has remained consistent on his line of thinking for promoting friendship with India since he took his oath. In his first public utterance as Pak PM, he had offered PM Modi to build an atmosphere of hope and fulfillment through peace and cordiality for betterment of their peoples", Soz said, adding that today, with his spectacular success at the hustings, PM Modi is expected to show his will to sort out all issues with Pakistan, including Kashmir. Soz further said on this side of India, the people of Kashmir in one voice have already unequivocally declared that Kashmir is a dispute and it has to be resolved through discussion and dialogue. The continuous bloodshed in Kashmir can never add up to a feather in his (Modi's) cap. The bloodshed in Kashmir must stop. Many a knowledgeable political observers feel that a spectacular success at the hustings should serve Modi well to set an example for the process of a durable peace in South Asia. He must act and he must act soon" |
