| HC takes note of circulation of medical report | | Sumbal 'rape' case | |
Srinagar, May 28: The Jammu Kashmir High Court on Tuesday took a serious note of circulation of the medical examination report of a three-year-old Sumbal 'rape victim' in social media. The court has issued notice to Inspector General Police and Medical Superintendent SKIMS in this regard.
A medical examination report of SKIMS was circulated on the social media which confirmed there were no indications that the three-year-old girl was raped. The police has filed the chargesheet which charges the accused with the rape. Earlier, strong protests erupted in Kashmir over the alleged rape. One person lost his life during the protests and scores other were injured while demanding justice for the victim. |
