Jammu, May 30: The Red Ribbon Club, Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu in collaboration with J&K AIDS Control Society, Health and Medical Department Jammu, J&K State organised Poster Making Competition and Lecture by Doctors from AIIMS & Narayana, Delhi on the eve of 'World No Tobacco Day-2019' on the theme: "Say No to Tobacco, Say Yes to Life" at the seminar hall of Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Jasbir Singh expressed his happiness over the initiation of Red Ribbon Club in the University and informed that more such programmes of social relevance would be organized.
Dr. Garima Gupta, Assistant Dean SW formally welcomed the gathering and provided an overview of the programme. Dr. Meghna Dhar, Nodal Officer Red Ribbon Club, University of Jammu conducted the programme. Students and Scholars from different teaching departments of University participated in the event.
Dr. Paras Khanna from AIIMS and Dr. Satyankar from Narayana Delhi presented a detailed and informative presentation on the topic. Others who were present at the occasion included Dr. Sanjay Sharma, Dr. Sarita Sood, Dr. Vijay Saigal and Mr. Risheesh Khajuria, Assistant Director Publicity, J&K AIDS Control Society. The event was coordinated by Ifra Kak & Sumeet Sharma. The following candidates got prizes in the Poster Making Competition First Position - Sunny Singh, Second Position -Navleen Kaur, The Third Position was shared by Amandeep Kaur Nanda and Darshpreet Kaur. |
