| Juvenile acquitted in attempt to rape | | |

Srinagar, June 4: A local court on Tuesday acquitted a juvenile in a case of attempt to rape of a minor in Pathachowk area 14 years ago.
Second Additional Sessions Judge Srinagar Tahir Khurshid Raina while acquitting the juvenile observed that the investigating officer stated that neither before this case nor thereafter he has ever been an IO in any case. "This speaks volumes about the standard of investigation being conducted in such serious cases and obviously the result will be failure of challan," the court ruled. |
