| Mayor Jammu takes part in cleaning of COLVA Beach | | |  Early Times Report
jammu, June 4: Under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation alongwith about 250 children coming from all over India, representatives of Goa Govt., took part in thoroughly cleaning the COLVA Beach at Goa on Tuesday.
The Mayor as well as Children advised the tourists and inhabitants of Goa not to throw polythene, glass bottles and other waste materials in the COLVA beach as it will pollute the beach and also environment of the surrounding area. Moreover visitors who go to the beach get seriously injured due to these broken glass bottles being thrown there. Earlier Mayor also met with Dr. Pramod Sawant Chief Minister of Goa and has a detail discussion on some important issues i.e Solid waste management, Smarty City project & other matters of better sanitation which will help in functioning of Jammu Municipal Corporation in an effective manner. Mayor also attended the Charity National Dance Championship being organized by NGO. Students from all over India presented their dance talent in this charity competition which was held for a noble cause and also spread culture of their states by way of dance. |
