MPEJ seeks PM's attention on adulteration | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 14: Kuldeep Kumar Rao a member of the Movement for Peace, Equality & Justice in a press release issued here said that the control over fast growing population, adulteration in food stuff &uniform syllabi throughout India is more important than other problems confronting the nation like unemployment, security and development. The all-round adulteration especially in food stuff and medicines is a silent killer which is affecting the health of millions irrespective of their religion, region or caste. In this case only fine, however high, is no solution. The adulterators must be given capital punishment. To legally kill an adulterator who is killing thousands silently is quite justifiable. Rao further said that the speed of the population growth throughout India far exceeds any government's capacity to cope up with it. The result is that despite the best efforts of the central government/state governments, large portion of population is without the basic amenities of life. Millions of children are underfed, undernourished, uneducated & their families are living in most unhygienic environment. Government's role is limited to issuing appeals & airing advertisements through electronic media for small family norms. Nothing worthwhile has come out of these appeals so far. The only way-out is to make strict laws regarding the family size. Parents should be strictly barred from having more than two to three children and those who violate the rules should be heavily penalized. Though we don't recommend the harsh approach of China, yet that country's strictness must be emulated. Referring to the separate Boards for rich & Poor ( state Boards for poor & CBSE for rich) Rao said that Narinder Modi must provide equal chance to every child of the country to get equal opportunity of right to education in one environment irrespective of the financial status of a certain class of students. |
