New cracks surface in PDP as leader from north 'ignores' party
6/16/2019 12:46:23 PM

Early Times Report
Jammu, June 15: Fresh cracks have surfaced in the Peoples Democratic Party as party's senior leader from north Kashmir is "ignoring the party."
Sources said the leader from north Kashmir, who has also remained Member Parliament, has not been in good terms with the party leadership for the past few weeks.
Sources said the leader had even avoided the party meeting that was scheduled to be held at the weekend and that following his "cold response" the party decided to postpone the said meeting.
Sources said the leader is still considering if he should continue to be with the party or if he should explore "new greener pastures."
Sources said the top leadership in the PDP was looking ahead to resolve issues with him on priority.
Sources said the party leadership was likely to approach him and ask if he has any grievances.
Sources said the said leader is also in touch with some other leaders from PDP in north Kashmir and was discussing their "future."
Sources however said the leader was unlikely to get any good offer from any of the regional parties. "Such leaders are really unpredictable and you don't know when they will change colors. Though he was previously in contact with us but he ended up reclaiming his stakes in PDP, so he is not someone to be trusted again," said a leader of the regional party who was previously in contact with him.
Sources said the PDP was scheduled to hold the said meeting to decide future course of action in the wake of party's poor performance in the Parliament polls but that the event was postponed in the "interest of the party."
It was reliably learnt that the date of next meeting would only be announced after issues with the party leader from north Kashmir are resolved.
Despite repeated attempts the said leader couldn't be contacted for comments.
