Jammu, June 14: Delhi Public School, Jammu today organized inter-house chess tournament for senior girls, dedicating the rolling trophy of the event to Jaiveer Singh Gujral, a chess prodigy of the school who lost life in a tragic road mishap last year.
Girls of all five houses of the school namely, Chenab, Ganga, Jhelum, Tawi and Yamuna took part in the said tournament in which Ganga House stood 1st, Jhelum House 2nd while the 3rd position was bagged by Chenab House. The top 4 positions in the tournament went to:
The children and the House Warden of Ganga House received trophies from the parents of Jaiveer Gurmeet Kour Gujral and Taranvir Singh Gujral who extended their best wishes to the winners and their coach, Sudesh Manhas.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra and Headmistress Meenu Gupta, too congratulated the winners. |
