Police works out theft case, accused arrested | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, June 15: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Rajouri district worked out a theft case registered in Manjakote police station and arrested the accused along with stolen items worth around seventy thousands from his possession. A case FIR 59/2019 under section 379 RPC was registered in Manjakote police station two weeks ago after a vehicle and some commodities from a Karyana shop were stolen. The stolen vehicle was recovered a few days ago while during investigation of the case, investigation team headed by station house officer Manjakote Manzoor Kohli under the supervision of SDPO Manjakote Nisar developed some vital clues and raided a Karyana shop located at Nerojal village of Thanamandi in Rajouri district. The shopkeeper namely Tariq Mahmood son of Mohammad Kabir resident of Nerojal Thanamandi was detained on the spot and during frisking in the shop, stolen Karyana items were recovered and seized with an estimated cost of commodities around seventy thousand rupees. Shopkeeper was later on arrested while further investigation is going on to identify any other accused involved in the theft case. |
