| Theft case worked out in Poonch | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, July 28: J&K Police in Poonch today achieved a major success by recovering stolen property worth Rupees 1.5 lakh and arrested the accused involved in a theft case which occurred in the Jurisdiction of Police Station Mandi .
The accused has been identified as Toiban Ahmed @ Tipu S/O Ghulam Nabi Caste Mir aged 16 year R/O Dunnugam, A/P Kunda Jallian, Tehsil Mandi.
Reports revealed that a theft occurred in the jurisdiction of PS Mandi and accordingly a FIR No. 17/20190 u/s 457/380/RPC was registered and investigation was started. Special team was constituted under the overall supervision of SSP Poonch Sh. Ramesh Angral JKPS and team swung into action. Consequently, a person was picked up and after sustained questioning he confessed his crime and upon his disclosure the stolen property viz. 09 Smart Phones, one HP Laptop, One voltage Stabilizer, one Solar Panel, One Solar Light and other articles worth Rupees 1.50 Lakhs was recovered .
It is pertinent to mention that the same person happened to be the prime accused in another theft case lodged viz. FIR No 96/2018 U/S 457/380 RPC in the year 2018.questioning of suspect is being carried out as more recoveries cannot be ruled out. |
