NIA carried raids at the residence of 4 cross LoC traders in Baramulla | In terror funding case | | S Tahir-ul Haq Early Times Report BARAMULLA, July 28: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out pre-dawn raids at the residence of four cross Line of Control (LoC) traders in this north Kashmir district in connection with an illegal terror funding case. According to sources that, the NIA sleuths were accompanied by police and CRPF conducted searches at various locations including a few residential houses belonging to four LoC traders of Baramulla district on early Sunday morning. The owners of these houses were dealing in cross-LoC trade which stands stalled after the Centre banned it after the Feb 14, Pulwama terror attack, said sources. Sources told early times that, the NIA team conducted searches at the residences of Tariq Ahmed Mir son of Gulam Din Mir of Microwave Kanlibagh Baramulla, Tanvir Ahmad Mir@Kaka Mir son of Abdul Rasheed Mir of Chinar Bagh Kanlibagh Baramulla, Bilal Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Khaliq Bhat of Tregam Sumbal Sonawari at present Kanispora Baramulla and Asif Akbar Lone son of Mohammad Akbar Lone of Ifaat Colony Kanlibagh Baramulla. Sources while quoting the police official as having said that, the searches were carried by NIA team in connection with a terror funding case and smuggling of drugs from across the border. Meanwhile it is pertinent to mention here that few days back NIA team had conducted searches in Baramulla businessman's house Gawhar Ahmed Bhat son of Mohammad Akbar Bhat of Mir Sahib old town Baramulla While as the NIA team also conducted searches at the residence of Sanaullah Bhat of Krankshivan area of Sopore town, in terror funding case. Earlier also NIA carried raids in parts of Kashmir in connection with the funding case registered by the probe agency.
