Jammu, July 28: Asha Kiran Welfare Society (AKWS) organized "Get Together meet" Sunday at Shiv Shakti Mandir, Janipur. The programme was started with National Anthem and was followed by introduction of society members by Subash Sharma, Stage Secretary. The programme was Chaired by Amar Nath Gupta, former Director (Funds), J&K. Dr. Ramesh Gupta (Retd) Supdt., Super Speciality, Jammu and Dr. B B Gupta (retd., Gynaecologist) and Smt Sunita Gupta, Councillor, ward No. 37, Janipur Housing Colony were present as special guests in the programme. Kamal Netar (General Secretary) welcomed the members on this occasion. Dr. Vikrant Sharma highlighted the achievements of society during the programme. He informed that the society was providing free scholarships to the meritorious students of the colony and is providing regular pension to 35 widows besides organising number of health camps, debate competitions, social activities such as Yog shivirs. |
