Jammu, Aug 7: Urging the Union Home Minister's Amit Shah to immediately constituting delimitation committee in view of the announcement made by him in Lok sabha while presenting abrogation of article 370 bill adding that the central Govt. is going to appoint committee for delimitation of assembly segments in the State, President of the Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha Ved Parkash Sharma, suggested that demarcating the assembly segments considering the population and geographical areas, so that discrimination done by the previous regimes with the people of Jammu region for the last 72 years could come to an end. "Abrogation of Article 370, J&K is as much part of India as all other states while west Pakistani refugees and valmiki, who had been denied state subject right, even after 72 years of settlement in the state will be equal stake holders now, described this decision of the Modi led Govt. at the centre as a historical one, Sharma Said this while addressing a meeting of the Sabha activists here." Describing Home Minister's as great chanayaka of Indian politics, Senior Advocate P.C.Sharma, Sharma said that people of Jammu region were looking for end discrimination in view of bold steps taken by the Central Govt. including delimitation of assembly constituencies by constituting delimitation committee very shortly. However Sharma said that the president rule should be continue for the betterment speedy development of the state. Sabha members however stressing on the need to constitute Minority commission in the state, they conveyed that minorities in the state have heavily suffered over the last three decades. Social activist B.S.Jamwal who was also present on the occasion said that the committee be asked to address the imbalance of population voter strength in each constituencies of Jammu/Kashmir regions. Early construction of Ram Mandir at Sri Ram Janam Bhoomi Ayodhya as the nation cannot afford the same. Vice President V.M.Magotra, Satyanand Sharma, Subash Shastri, Tawi Andolan Convener Advocate Chander Mohan Sharma, Jagan Nath Sharma,Nanak Chand Sharma, Shiv Ram Sharma, Romesh Sharma, Madan Lal Sharma, Sat paul khajuria, Prem Baltora, Master Tarseem Sharma, K.L. Sharma, Raman Sharma, S.C.D. Sharma, Jia lal Sharma, Dr. Som Dutt Magotra,Shanti Saaroop Baru, Gurdass Sharma,Rajesh Bargotra, Girdhari lal Sharma, Sri Kerni and others were also present in the meeting. |
