| AIKS pays homage to Sushma Swaraj | | |

Jammu, Aug 7: All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) received the news of the passing away of Sushma Swaraj on 6 Aug 2019, with shock and disbelief.
It was only a few hours back that she had hailed Prime Minister Modi for having repealed Article 370 and 35 A in a historic initiative taken by the Government. Articulate, bold, knowledgeable and charismatic, Sushma Swaraj was a highly respected leader, who carved out a niche for herself in a cadre- based party like BJP. She was a parliamentarian par- excellence and a patriot to the core. BJP's rise to power and becoming a force to reckon with, has a lot to do with Sushma Swaraj's own performance over the years and her being the face of the party.
AIKS would like to place on record that Sushma Swaraj was sympathetic to the KP's cause and was always in the forefront of pleading our case. In her death we have lost a great friend.
We bow in reverence to her and pay our respectful homage to the great daughter of Bharat Mata. |
