Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 22: Busting an interstate gang of vehicle lifters on Jammu Police arrested four thieves and recovered five stolen vehicles including three cars and two scooties. Addressing media persons, Superintendent of Police City South, Vinay Kumar at Gandhi Nagar Police Station this afternoon said that the team constituted by the department to nab the vehicle lifters worked out theft cases. "A team of Gandhi Nagar Police led of SHO, Gurnam Singh, rounded up suspects and them to sustained questioning, during the course of action accused namely Titu alias Karma Kumar resident of Batala Punjab presently Shastri Nagar Kathua confessed his involvement in the commission of crimes", he SP said, adding that on his disclosure on Gypsy, two car and two Scooties were recovered. The SP said that during the preliminary investigation three more people involved in the case arrested. "Ashwani Kumar, Tajinder Singh and Aftab Ahmed used to tempered the registration no./ Chassis number of the stolen vehicle against the R/Cs managed from the condemned vehicles owners and further sold them to the customers on the cheapest rates", he added. |
