Jammu, Aug 22: NSS Unit and 2 J&K Girls Bn NCC of Government Degree College RS Pura in collaboration with Panchayat Bansultan Upper organized Plantation drive on the sides of Ranbir Canal of the Panchayat Area under the guidance of the Principal Dr. Sunita Sudan and supervision of Dr. Jaipal Singh, Prof. Bindu Kumari, NSS Programme Officer, Dr. Anuradha, Lt. Shaveta Chowdhary, ANO NCC. Different varities of trees like Alistonia, Arjuna, Mango, Guava, were planted so as to enhance the beauty of the area and protect the environment as well.
A total of 50 students compressing of 25 NSS volunteers and 25 NCC girls cadets participated in the activity.
Adv. Dev Raj Sharma, Sarpanch, Bansultan upper along with the panches and locals of the panchayat actively participated in the plantation drive. Dr. Jaipal Singh thanked all the representatives of the panchayat for managing the event in smooth manner. |
