| Sainik School Nagrota begins Golden Jubilee Celebrations | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 22: The 50th Raising Day of Sainik School Nagrota was celebrated on 22nd Aug 2019 in the school with great spirit and fervour commemorating the inauguration of this school by Jagjivan Ram, the then Defence Minister of our country on 22 Aug 1970. Marking the beginning of Golden Jubilee year, celebrations began with a colourful ceremonial parade cum drill competition at Maj Somnath Sharma, PVC Stadium led by the School Captain Akash Thakur. Cadets of the school turned out in immaculate ceremonial attires and presented a crisp display of March Past in 12 contingents.
Capt A Muthuraman, Principal reviewed the parade and acknowledged the salute. In his address, the Principal greeted everyone on this historic occasion and paid rich tributes to the officers, staff and cadets who played a pivotal role in building the reputation of the school. The Principal also exhorted the cadets and staff to imbibe core values and ethics which form the foundation of education and rededicate themselves to strive hard to live upto the reputation of this grand institution. |
