JK Admin for early exams for varsity students | | | Early Times Report srinagar, Aug 24: In a bid to gear up restoration of normalcy in Kashmir, the State administration looks ahead to go for "early" holding of exams for the varsity students of the valley. Sources said that administration had intelligence inputs that "early exams" will help reduce tension as the students will get busy with the preparation for the exams than be associated with any apprehended anti national activities. The exams are scheduled to be held for the thousands of the graduate and post graduate of students of Kashmir valley. Official sources said the KU has issued notification on behalf of the varsity in the valley asking the concern to gear up for the preparedness for the exams. As per the documents accessed by the Early Times, the office of the Controller of Examination, University of Kashmir, has issued the notification Vide No. F (paper-Setter/COE/KU/19) dated Aug 20, 2019. "All the faculty members of government degree colleges affiliated with the University of Kashmir / Cluster University of Srinagar, engaged as paper setter for different UG courses from time to time are requested to set question paper of their subject of 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Semester. The format of the question paper shall be descriptive and MCQs based for odd and even semester, respectively," reads the notification, a copy of which lies with this News paper. "The identification number or the paper setters will be issued separately. The question paper setters will be issued separately. The question paper can be mailed on the email addressed already or can be send through surface mail," the notification adds. A senior official told Early Times that the administration would look ahead to hold the exams at an earliest. "Our main agenda is to keep students community away from any anti national activity and the best way to do that is to made them devotee their time in preparation for exams," the official said. Despite repeated attempts the concerned in the KU couldn't be contacted for comments. |
