UDHAMPUR, Aug 27: Three-Day historic annual Kailash Kund Yatra from Dudu of district Udhampur commenced early this morning with traditional fervour and gaiety.
Sub Divisional Magistrate Dudu, Pardeep Singh Chib flagged off the Charri Mubarak yatra from Vasuki Nag Temple Dudu Tehsil Chenani of district Udhampur.
A large number of pilgrims hailing from Dudu Basantgarh, Himachal, Jammu, Kathua, Udhampur, Chenani and Ramnagar partici[pated in the pilgrimage amidst chanting of bhajans.
Earlier, the SDM paid obeisance at Vasuki Nag temple at Dudu and prayed for peace and prosperity of the people.
Pertinently, the district administration has made elaborate arrangements of temporary shelters and medicare for the yatries enroute Kailash Kund Yatra for their comfortable pilgrimage. |
