Sources informed Early Times that these four police personnel including a Head Constable, three Selection Grade police personnel were shunted out from the Kathua district following a complaint against the then Station House Officer Kathua police station. "Acting on the complaint, the SHO was shifted from police station Kathua to Special Branch as incharge while the four police personnel, working in close coordination with him were also taken to task", sources said, adding that IGP had changed the ranges of all these four police personnel. Sources further said that after lapse of over one month, since the order of Inspector General, these police personnel have not been relieved by the district police authorities Kathua due to reasons best known to them. "Some of the other police personnel who were transferred from Kathua were relieved immediately. In the case of other police personnel, same are usually relieved within few years of getting the transfer order but in case of these four influential police personnel, the relieving order has not been issued", sources said, adding that it was open defiance by the police administration of the order of IGP. Sources further alleged that these four police personnel have strong political as well as links in the police department and they have been trying their best to get the transfer orders modified or got the same cancelled, so that they would remain stationed at Kathua. |
