Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 27: Editor Early Times Munish Gupta on Tuesday said that changing political scenario in Jammu and Kashmir has provided a golden opportunity to people to lay the foundation of Jammu region. Carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas Munish said, "Jammu is all set to get empowered politically, we need to rise to the occasion and vote for a change." "During the past 70 years, we have voted for the people who have who fed us with slogans but now time has changed and people cannot be misled any more", said Munish who would be contesting the forthcoming assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency. Munish said, "The areas I have visited during the past 3 months presented a gloomy picture. People everywhere fed up with politicians and don't trust the political leaders anymore, the trust deficit is huge. The political leaders appearing in elections time and leaving people in lurch after getting elected has disappointed the masses." He said, "If I win the elections I assure my people that I will try my best to resolve the basic issues. If my people give me a chance and strengthen by hands, we can together lay foundation of new Jammu. New dawn is awaiting us." |
