Early Times Report Baramulla, Aug 27: A Jaish-e-Mohammed (Jem) terrorist was arrested in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. A joint team of the police and the security forces was formed. The JeM terrorist was arrested in the joint operation soon. The team used a credible input to nab the JeM terrorist from Delina area, Baramulla. "The police intercepted one terrorist identified as Mohd Iqbal Naikoo alias Ibn Khitab - son of Abdul Ahad Naikoo. Mohd Iqbal Naikoo is a resident of Suhail Colony, Old Town, Baramulla. He was carrying arms and ammunition and has been arrested," a police statement said. As per the police records, he was affiliated with proscribed terror outfit JeM. The police has registered a case under relevant sections of law in the matter. Incriminating material including arms and ammunition was recovered from his possession. Further investigation in the matter is underway. |
