Samba, Aug 28: Police recovered an imported Pistol along with 4 live Rounds and 01 Magazine in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and accused managed to escape from the spot.
A Police Party of Police Station Vijaypur headed by SHO Vijaypur, Inspector Chaman Ghorkha under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur, S. Baljeet Singh during vehicle checking at Naka point Gurah Morh,Vijaypur signaled to stop a white colour swift car bearing Regd. No. PB02-7569 which was coming from Gurah Slathian toward Vijaypur. The driver on seeing the Police Cops left the car and fled away from the spot taking advantage of darkness.
During checking of the said car, 1 Auto Pistol No. 765 T Round made in the USA, 01 Magazine, 4 Live Rounds, 1 Mobile and Driving License were recovered from inside the car.
The accused person managed to escape from the spot has been identified as Vikas Slathia alias Vicky son of Ravinder Singh resident of Gurah Morh, Vijaypur who is a hardcore criminal and involved in a number of criminal cases registered at Police Station Vijaypur.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 125/2019 U/S 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Vijaypur and manhunt has been launched to nab the accused. |
