Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 28: Editor Early Times Munish Gupta on Wednesday asked people to evaluate the performances of former elected representatives and then cast their votes in the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Carrying forward his mass contact programme in Green Avenue area (Dashmesh Nagar) today Munish said, "It is high time for the people to shunt-out the leaders, who have taken them for a ride during the past seven decades." "Vote is the most important weapon of common man. All of us need to understand the importance of our right to vote to choose our right representatives, is our right", said Munish who would be contesting forthcoming assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency. He said, "It is high time for people to seek answers from the leaders who represented them during all these years. The truth may be bitter but it cannot be changed, the leaders who represented us during all these years failed to deliver, they couldn't even provide basic amenities to the masses, their report card is big zero." Munish urged people to come forward and vote for him. "I won't promise you moon but if I win, I will ensure that I become your voice so that I'm able to provide my people with the basic facilities, which they still need even after more than seventy years of independence", he added. |
