Jammu, Aug 28: Much to the delight of lakhs of people, the mobile calling services late today evening restored in five Districts of Pir Panchal and Chenab valley. With this around 20 lakh people living in Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Rajouri and Poonch Districts will get Communication facility suspended 3 weeks ago following scraping of Article 370 and 35 A to avoid any untoward incident. As per the details available with Early Times, the decision with regard to restoration was taken at High security meeting chaired by the senior officials. As soon as the mobile calling services restored at around 10.20 PM today evening, the people erupt in joy and started calling and congratulating each other, however the mobile internet services will continue to remain suspended till further orders. Both Airtel and Jio started their mobile calling services, however BSNL did not start the same till the drafting of this news story. |
