Jammu, Aug 28: In its ongoing efforts to weed out social crime from the society, Police arrested 3 Gamblers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and recovered stake money of Rs 21,250/- from their possession.
Reports said that acting on a specific information about gambling, a Police Party of Police Station Vijaypur raided the gambling spot at Railway Road, Vijaypur and arrested 3 gamblers alongwith stake money of Rs. 21,250/- and playing Cards.
The gamblers have been identified as Mohan Singh son of Balwant Singh resident of Najwal, Ramgarh , Rohit Kumar son of Darshan Lal resident of Ward No. 03, Vijaypur and Rahul Sharma son of Thoru Ram resident of Ward No.3, Vijaypur.
Taking cognizance into the matter, all the gamblers were booked under section 13 of Gambling Act at Police Station Vijaypur. |
