Jammu, Aug 28: One day awareness programme was held at J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration & Rural Development near ASCOMS Sidhra Jammu.
The programme was organized by Civil Defence. In the awareness camp, the elected Representative of Panchayati Raj Institutions were given the knowledge of First Aid, CPR, Chocking, Emergency methods of rescue, fire fighting along with demonstration by the Civil defence instructors. Dy.SP, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu, Paramjit Kumar, Chief Warden, R Vijay Mangotra highlighted the role of civil defence and also shared her views regarding the importance of first Aid, Rescue Techniques, Do's and Don'ts during manmade/natural disaster. Dr. Reva Sharma, Director (Trainings) of J&K IMPARD appreciated the role of Civil Defence and thanked the Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu and her team for organizing such important awareness/ Demonstration Programme. At least 30 Sarpanch/Panch & other staff members attended the awareness programme. |
