Google trainer holds workshop on fake news at JK Channel | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 2: To aware media persons how to do fact check on fake news, Google Certified trainer and senior journalist, Deepak Khajuria today held a workshop at JK Channel office with its Editorial Staff. JK Channel, a leading Media House in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh is having a cluster of News Channels, Newspaper and Web-Portals and other digital platforms has taken a lead to aware its Editorial Staff, how to become more tech-alert to counter fake news and organised such a workshop at their office premises. In the one-day workshop, senior journalist-cum Google trainer Deepak Khajuria delivered lectures on various topics related to security safety in social media. The speaker threw light on topics like Digital Safety and Security, You tube, Photo and video verifications. The Journalists from different media platforms of JK Channel participated in the workshop headed by its Channel Head, Vinod Kumar. Vinor Kumar said Jammu and Kashmir, especially after reorganisation of state becomes more 'happening' region and to prevent rumour mongering besides to spread awareness among general masses about fake news so that they do not get trapped into any propaganda, this initiative is a welcome step by Google Trainer. |
